Radiology Issues

What limitations are there when you undergo an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)?

High-quality images are guaranteed when a patient is able to lie completely still during the scanning. Large patients may not be able to fit comfortably in the narrow tube of the conventional MRI machine. The presence of an implant or any other metallic object makes it difficult to obtain clear images.

Which are the accepted payment methods?

The payment methods accepted are: a.Cash b.Check c.Credit Cards d.Insurance

Who is responsible for interpreting the results and how do I obtain them?

A radiologist or physician qualified to supervise and interpret radiological tests will analyze the images and further send a signed report to your attending physician (family doctor) or referring physician, who will share the results with you.

What is a Computerized Tomographic Angiography (CTA)?

The CTA is a minimally invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Angiography uses one of three imaging technologies and, in some cases, a contrast medium to produce images of major blood vessels throughout the body.

What will I experience during and after an Ultrasound?

Most ultrasound examinations are fast and painless. If scanning is performed over an area of tenderness, you may feel pressure or minor pain due to the procedure. If a Doppler ultrasound study is performed, you may hear pulse-like sounds that change in pitch as the blood flow is monitored and measured.

How is a Mammography performed?

The mammography is performed on an outpatient basis. A radiologic technologist will position your breast in the mammography unit. Your breast will be placed on a metal platform and gradually compressed with a paddle.
