Electromyography

Electromyography

The electromyogram (EMG) gathers the electrical activity of muscles.  The contraction of a muscle is due to an electrical discharge of the nerve that controls it. If the nerve is affected, its performance weakens and the features of the electrical impulses it transmits vary. The variations in these electrical impulses vary depending whether the nerve is sick or just compressed, and moreover, depending on the level of compression.
